Using the Solr import utility, you can receive an error like the following (full error below):<\/p>\n

The reason that this runs in Solr is that it is used to let you write Javascript code that can run in the indexing process. <\/p>\n
I have found that is very easy to misconfigure Solr to trigger this, but in ways that fail catastrophically, like you’ve found. <\/p>\n
One simple cause of this is to add a core that already exists (to try to make it show up) but not setting both the instance and config directories – this causes it to half use the old core, and half the new.<\/p>\n
To fix this, you need to shut down solr, delete “new_core” from “\\solr-5.5.0\\server\\solr” and start it back up.<\/p>\n
